Project Introduction: Established in 1950, Heilongjiang Fisheries Research Institution, formerly known as Harbin Fisheries Experimental Farm of Agriculture Ministry of Northeast People's Government, is the earliest freshwater fishery scientific research institution established in China, affiliated to Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences of Agriculture Ministry. Its main task is to focus on the fishery production in the Heilongjiang river basin and the cold region in the north, regarding the fish mainly cultivated in the north and cold water fish as the main research object, and engages in the research work on public welfare and basic application of fish breeding, genetic breeding, aquatic biotechnology, fishery resources and fishery environmental protection.
